Georgia Marble Festival
by Don Martin ~ September 27th, 2010
Yes, its hard to believe; but it is actually time for the 2010 Marble Festival. Next weekend (October 2nd and 3rd) Jasper will be the most happenin’ spot in all of North Georgia. There will be the Marble Parade, Car Shows, Antique Shows, 2 full days of the carnival grounds with food vendors, live entertainment, childrens area, the Fine Arts competition, a street dance and your only opportunity each year to actually visit the operating marble mines and operations that made this part of Georgia famous. For more information please visit the home page for the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce

Hi Don,
thanks for the article on the Georgia Marble Festival. I won’t be able to attend this year so I’m hoping that you’ll have lots of pictures and videos about the weekend that I can come back and check out next week.
I always love the festival and its always a lot of fun.
Thanks again for the information and enjoy the festival this weekend.
